  My daughter will be married in July and, as father-of-the-bride, I don't get to do much more than write the checks -- no shopping for wedding gowns or bridesmaids' dresses, no browsing for the mother-of-the-bride, nor groom and groomsmen suits and ties. But the groom and company are wearing dark blue and the bridesmaids, pink. After seeing "Phantom Thread" I was convinced any bowtie of the quality worn by Daniel Day-Lewis would be just the ticket. I found R. Hanauer custom bow ties online, queried them, and they suggested the perfect pink with navy Vero dots all-silk butterfly. While I was at it, I bought another of more traditional (2-1/4") width in navy with tiny white pin dots. Both are beautiful ties. They've moved into the top tier of my collection. Then on another visit, I saw the red bow with white pin dots, and went for it, too. The prices are great, the fabric lush silk, the craftsmanship excellent, the packaging sophisticated, and (from dealings by email) the folks are grand. Cannot recommend R. Hanauer more highly.
